Despite the Nintendo 3DS dominating the Japanese hardware sales this week following the recent price cut on the console, sales of software for the system were still rather low, with just three 3DS titles featuring in the weekly software sales charts.

Media CreateFor the week ended August 21, Pokemon Rumble Blast, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Nintendogs + Cats all featured in the Japanese top 20, according to data from tracking firm Media Create and as reported by NeoGAF.

There was good news for Nintendo however, as Wii title Rhythm Heaven once again topped the charts, with a total of 48,190 units sold. In fact, Nintendo held half of the top 10 titles, with Kirby Mass Attack, Pokemon Rumble Blast and Wii Sports Resort with Remote Plus joining Rhythm Heaven and Zelda.

As for new entries, Compile Heart's PS3 title Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 was the highest new entry, landing in position four, while Atlus' Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded on PSP reached number six.

Lower down the chart, Idea Factory brought Amnesia into the fray at number 13, while FuRyu settled for number 15 with its PSP game Bunmei Haruka: Aoiza Ibunroku. There were no re-entries into the charts this week.
